SCDO’s objectives are the following:
- Encourage peaceful coexistence among mankind most especially in war torn country, refugee Camps and in normal condition by providing training in Peace Education, conflict prevention, conflict resolution, Peace Building and human rights education.
- Provide vocational skills trainings and scholarships to youth and children and other disadvantage youths in order to help them become useful, respected, and contributing members in their communities;
- Empowering women socially and economically through the establishment of development programs, building their capacity and facilitating them to participate in decision-making bodies.
- Engage children in recreational and cultural activities that will help them heal from the traumas of repatriation, loss of loved ones, and separation from their families, which will result in an emotionally healthier and stable youth.
- Assist women in achieving financial independence and strengthening their self-esteem by providing them vocational training.
- To conduct training and seminars to demobilize militia to became useful elements in the society.
- To promote peace and reconciliation among the youth through sport activities.
